Gi and Hakama Ordering Instructions

Steps to Determine Your Size

  1. Find someone relatively at the same height and body type as you.
  2. Try on their Gi and Hakama. Sweaty ones are optional.
  3. Things to consider:
    • Gi arm length should be between the elbow and the forearms. Raise your arm as if doing suburi and ensure it is comfortable.
    • For the Hakama, tie it around your belly button area. Females tend to tie it higher due to wider hips. The length should be an inch above the floor and cover your ankle bone.
  4. Have someone check the fitting for you to see if it's the right size.
  5. Ask about the size of their Gi and Hakama and remember that number. Adjust to a bigger or smaller size if needed.
  6. Once you have that number, fill out this Google Form.

Alternative Method

  1. Order based on your height in cm. You need accurate height measurements.
  2. This method is less accurate as it doesn't consider weight, body size, or how high/low you wear your Hakama.
